Jump start your training with our Summer Speed Series! This summer, we'll offer three four-week sessions, one based at each of our Raleigh and Morrisville locations. Over the course of each session, we'll meet twice a week for early morning workouts that focus on speed, strength, and form. Through track workouts, intervals, drills, and abdominal exercises, you will become the runner you’ve always dreamed of being! Last year, we had several runners in our 5K, half marathon, and marathon programs who attributed their fall PRs to this intense summer training. The program is also open to runners who don't have a goal race in mind, but are interested in mixing things up rather than just plodding through the summer heat.

Q: When does the program meet?
A: We will meet Mondays and Wednesdays from 6-7 a.m.
Q: How much does the program cost?
A: Registration costs $50.
Q: What is the training schedule like?
A: We start the program with a one-mile time trial to gauge your current speed. Over the eight sessions, we'll alternate between track workouts and speed/strength/plyometric workouts away from the track. The last day will be another time trial. This is your chance to see how far you've come!
Q: Where will we meet?
A: We'll have our first workout of each session at a local track to do your one-mile time trial. Other workouts will meet in areas and parks near the store you signed up for. Your coaches will notify you of each location and the workout when you register.
Q: I'm slow. Am I still invited?
A: Of course! We welcome runners of all paces. In fact, the plan is to help you get faster! Runners will be divided into groups based on pace, so you should have plenty of training partners.
Q: I'm new to running. Should I sign up?
A: This training will be most useful for runners who have previously completed a 5K or longer. With our help, your next one should be faster! If you're new to running, consider signing up for Make it a Mile or No Boundaries!
