Spring (Winter?) Training Update

Morrisville half

The temps may be down but the spirits are high in our first training programs of the new year! We've got an amazing group of nearly 175 participants and mentors in our Run Happy Half and Full Marathon Program in Raleigh, plus another 40 in our inaugural Morrisville program!

It's a great mix of training program veterans and new friends alike coming together to get ready to tackle the hills of Rock 'N' Roll Raleigh. The pace groups are being guided by awesome mentors, many of whom are back with us for their third or fourth time in those roles, and we've welcomed two amazing coaches, Jessica and Jennifer, to the mix. Sponsored by Brooks, this group is blasting through some up-tempo runs during the week and gently stretching out their long runs over the next 12 weeks to train for their goal races.

Our coaches and mentors with the No Boundaries programs are excited about working with our participants as they build and maintain their fitness through active and healthy lifestyles. Mary Ashley and Jen both returned to lead the way for our North Raleigh groups while Ellen and Brian are stoked to be joined by wellness coach Morgan with the Wade Ave team. Sponsored by New Balance, we've got running groups, three different run/walk groups, and a walking group who are all working towards toeing the starting line of our destination race, the Ella's Race 5k, in March. It's inspiring as it is to see people take control of their fitness and lifestyles, even more so when you see them working towards being a part of such a great cause.
We're also excited to see our Make it a Milers in Morrisville progressing toward their goal of running a mile! Your dedication is inspiring! We hope to see many of you back next month for our Morrisville 5K program!
