Anna is North Carolina native. She grew up in Charlotte and attended Appalachian State University where she studied Health Promotion and Exercise Science. While living in Boone, she fell in love with the mountains and used running as a fun way to enjoy the beautiful scenery. After graduation, she moved back to Charlotte and worked at the Harris YMCA and at a local specialty running store. In 2008, Anna decided it was time for a change of atmosphere and moved to the triangle and where she immediately felt at home. Before starting at Fleet Feet in September 2014, Anna worked for Duke University, treating cardiac and pulmonary rehabilitation patients and developing an exercise group for patients with Parkinson's Disease. She was inspired by how passionate and loyal her groups were about movement and how showing up each day to exercise improved their lives. Anna runs 5Ks and half marathons and frequents local trails with her dog, Matilda. She can be found checking out new restaurants in Raleigh, watching Parks & Recreation reruns on Netflix, or venturing back up to the mountains for a quick camping trip.
